you really shouldn't go based off a highlight video Just look at Ward vs Abe [yt]LSEpCdA7n3c[/yt] you'd think it was a tough fight for Ward when it was a vry wide decision
I'm actually going off the whole cotto fight but i just posted the highlight. which is really a trout highlight. Ill admit I've only seen trout in the cotto fight but i believe that is the most relevant fight to this upcoming match anyway. and i think its safe to say its his best performance.
When I picked Trout to beat Canelo by TKO they thought it was a joke I hope those same people read this post you made great points.
Common sense here... if Trout can't KO Alvarez there is NO ****ING WAY he is walking away with the W. Too much money riding on the ginger's future in the sport.
You can bet after that though, Trout suddenly becomes an overrated bum whose best win was a shopworn blown-up Cotto.[/QUOTE] i was thinking about that earlier too, Trout hasnt done anything other than beat Cotto and it wasnt like he beat him 12-0, COtto is a blown up Welterweight who hasnt beaten a good fighter at 154, Canelo is a little bigger and has power to get Trouts respect i think at the least it should be a 50/50 fight
I think if Golden Boy is putting Canelo in there with Trout its because their at least 90% sure he can win if not they wouldnt do it
He won't lose. Trout can't KO him, and they're ain't no way in hell that he's going to lose a decision.
Big difference is Cotto already had his mega fight with FMJ. GB would stand to lose millions if Trout wins. Trout beating Cotto didn't cost them much. Cotto-Alvarez still wouldn't have been ppv due to Cotto losing to FMJ.
IF Canelo losses to Trout GBP's brings in Cotto & they make huge business together. Or the WBC orders Lara Vs. Alvarez or rematch with Trout. Mayweather fight would be lost tho.
This fight is a calculated risk for Canelo. If he could really lose it, his people wouldn't be making it.
Going by this, go watch Canelo vs Gomez and ask yourself how much skilled Trout is compared to Alfonso
