This thread is about Canelo waiting out GGG and the ridiculous idea of GGG ducking Ward.

My point was, Canelo entered GGG's weight class and waited 2 years to fight him. While GGG was never in Ward's weight class, and Ward has never fought in GGG's. One has nothing to do with the other.

It's like saying, Floyd waited for Pac to get old before fighting him. But Pac was ducking Ward for years because he never fought him.

 

Say what you want GGG ducked Ward. I know why Canelo fought Amir Con for the money. still not sure why GGG fought Brook?! I assume money but brook isn't a huge name. GGG called out an old mayweather and said he would drop to 154 for him haha. I mean why couldn't he go up one weight class and fight Ward when it mattered at 168?! Before Ward went to 175. Oh I remember even GGG said Ward is too much. Sept 16th proved you just need to box to make GGG look normal. I swear all the Golovkin fans where saying he ices and knocks Canelo out.

 

Brook was a late replacement, GGG signed to fight Eubank Jr.

Because Ward got sidelined by promotional trouble. When GGG was completely frozen out at 160 lb in 2013 he got desperate and agreed to a Ward fight at the HBO offices.

And yes, of course he would've lost to Ward, but that does not change the facts.

Everyone called out Mayweather....included Ward. Ward and GGG was talked about seriously, but GGG maintained he'd stay at middleweight to unify while Ward maintained that he was not looking to go down in weight. He always talked about moving up and that's the reason the fight never manifested

This would be all fine if GGG hadn't tried to fight JCC Jr at 168 who held no belt at 160 and tried to fight Froch at 168 who held no belt at 160 and did fight Brook at 160 who was a career WW and held no belt at 160. If all he wanted to do was unify then why did he want to fight Froch and JCC Jr and did fight Brook? He's full of **** that's why. GGG never wanted any parts of Ward at 168 and neither did his fans they already knew he would get that work.
