I've always had no issue with GGG getting a tune up as long as the fight was made with Ward. Hell Ward would have had to have one as well to fight GGG at 168 because he was so inactive.

 

Froch turned that fight down, but he was also old and planned to retire so it is not fair to bash him for that.

 

Yes, Froch decided that the spectacular Groves KO was the right way to end his excellent career.

He'd well and truly earned the right to choose how he went out, it's not a duck.

 

Well I'm not sure if Canelo was able to wait GGG out, though it could have been the intention. I haven't really seen GGG make any slips in physical capabilities yet. However the other way around I've seen Canelo make many improvements and I think he is now entering his physical and technical prime. I actually think he can still improve. I think 2 years ago we might have been asking if Canelo was still too green. I think the fight happened at the right time.

 

I just read through 3 pages and still can't quite understand the hatred for GGG.

It seem like few shrills he have gotten so wound up over GGG making them look stupid again that they are now resorting to he is no good because he doesn't fight bla bla bla.

It may be time for you to actually accept he isn't all that bad and move on....

Yer it was funny seeing all the crying at first now its just sad... I do love the GGG is over rated because he said he would fight Ward but didn't, yet that same guy is talking about fighting AJ, who is the bigger fool???

 

Loaded dice Ward could have had that work. All he had to do was agree to a fair fight at 164 without the deck stacked in his favour. GGG would even have given him home advantage and half the payday. But after watching the disgraceful way Kovalev was treated (robbery "loss", Ward's flat out refusal to allow neutral officials for the rematch then a "KO" from 3 punches to the balls) I say good for Golovkin for demanding a fair shake. And we all saw what happened when he did. Loaded dice ran a mile.
