I would rather see GGG do a systematic beating on Canelo for 11 full rounds. Then with about 45 seconds to go in the 12th frame, GGG should go ahead and knock out Canelo...!!!

It's going to be a horrid beating by GGG I'm afraid. I have nothing against Canelo but he's getting his skull cracked bad. I think with his heart and chin.. he'll put up a valiant effort but go down hard. 7 rounds tops. GGG will be in the best shape of his life

I think this beating is going to be so bad that ducknelo will have to retire afterwards

Oscar will snort more lines than Scar Face to combat the depression afterwards. Bad times ahead for team Canelo

Canelo, despite his Pollo tendencies, is very good.

I think that the first few rounds would be pretty competitive.

I reckon GGG knocks him out in about 9.

I think it goes to UD in favor of GGG... Canelo has a great chin and his counter attack to the body will keep GGG away... good tough fight for both

I question both guys stamina. Both take shots. GGG will be the favorite no doubt but....

Recently watched the Willie Monroe fight and Brook fight. If Monroe wasn't a guy with 6 KOs in total I think he could've done some considerable damage, even could've possibly gotten a 10-7 round as G did against him. His shots were clearly effecting G. He even stopped G dead in his tracks with a counter hook/uppercut shot I believe in the 4th or 5th round. He also did some good body work that had a clear effect on G as well. G's putting on a facade on not being hurt at all. It's total nonsense. Brook, same deal.

Point being I give Canelo a much bigger chance than I originally thought. I think G is showing clear telling signs of not really having that good of a chin. I know I'm going to catch hate but just watch the fight without bias.

Same instance reminds me of Juanma when he was an up and coming fighter. He looked ridiculous and was knocking out guys left and right and doing the same bravado **** we're seeing GGG do. Finally starts stepping up in competition, low and behold, that same bravado stuff doesn't carry weight anymore and the guy now GKTFO. I'm predicting the same for G. His power overwhelms people and they fold to it but I think that's going to change very soon.......

This is basically a blueprint on beating this guy. I don't even really need to talk about it. Clear as day to see. You keep him in the middle of the ring, you can get him...

Depends how you read it. I don't think stopping in your tracks when you're being countered and caught clean by most guys is a sign of chin issues. By the same token (and we always reference, but it's true) two much bigger punchers in Lemieux and Stevens landed cleanly but with no desired effect. I think part of the problem is that he's seen by some as being so indestructible that whenever he does show little human signs like stopping in his tracks then its importance can be overstated a little.

As for a prediction for the fight, probably a 10th round stoppage. Golovkin starts slow, so I'd expect a few cagey rounds perhaps with Canelo edging them. Canelo hasn't been in with a puncher in a long time and Golovkin's power at 160 is unlike anything he'd have been in with. He was rocked badly when he was younger against (I think) Cotto's cousin but he was young so I won't hold that against him. Competitive for a few rounds, then the power difference will start to show and Canelo will start to slow. I think he gets stopped on his feet, not unlike Stevens.
