Lmao the haters kill me. Floyd moves up to his 5th weight class to fight a young undefeated blue chip prospect and somehow you guys found a way to spin it into a cherry pick meanwhile gggs best win is a career 147 pounder who's claim to fame is squeaking out a win against the very average Shawn porter
4 years of maturing and he still prefers to only fight 3 pounds heavier means he wasn't drained dip****
Was Drained to 150lbs,23 and green so while i give Floyd credit for the win its not really helping his resume nevermind a "huge boost". A win over Chavez Jr isnt much of a bump even on Canelos resume nevermind Floyds. Sad how flo.mos are grasping at straws to improve Floyds weak resume.
Yeah sure It's not like it was even remotely close,Maidana gave Mayweather more probs than Canelo ever did, maybe Canelo is twice the fighter he was then but still how many rounds does that give him, twice as much as zero or twice as much as one or two,not having a pop as Floyd is/was the master but having seen enough of Canelo since then we've seen a fighter who excels against come forward type fighters and one that struggles big time against guys with a decent jab and have some movement, didn't his trainer touch on this after Monroe beat Gabe the human punching bag Rosado?
Yeah and probably explains why Floyd says Canelo beats Golovkin when he knows all too well how Canelo struggles with boxers with a good jab.
The more Canelo goes on to achieve, the better Mayweather's masterclass looks, period. Yes, it was a young Canelo but he doesn't have as much left in the tank as you think he does. He has had 50 fights and turned pro at 15. Winning fights consistently against good fighters makes a greater case why you are a good fighter, which is why it cements Mayweather's victory as a better one because the case for Canelo being a good fighter is a firmer one.
