Because Pacquiao was also coming forward all the time, he even had Mayweather on the ropes few times.

Difference is that the boxing establishment had Golovkin winning both fights, while very few if any had Pac beating Mayweather.

He didn`t land much when got him on the ropes though, Canelo actually landed more body shots in his own fight against Mayweather than Manny did against Floyd, Manny didn`t really go to the body in that bout.

Canelo landed harder punches than Manny did and threw far more punches also, he was always in punching range ready to counter whereas Manny mainly stayed safely out of range while pressing and wasn`t close enough to counter Floyd`s jab which was too long for him to deal with.

Another thing Pacquiao was not making Mayweather miss and made him look like a amateur

Watching Canelo make GGG miss those two punches was pretty great.

Why do people simplify this to "He came forward"?

May/Pac should have been a no contest at least Mayweather should have been banned But the only ones that could ban him were covering his punk ass
    One glaring sign of corruption...
Manny was denied his previously agreed LEGAL Toradol on fight night because he hadn't ticked the right box claiming injury
Floyd gets caught receiving an ILLEGAL EXCESSIVE 750 mil saline drip in his own home 24 hours before the fight. This was covered up until Thomas Hauser bubbled them. What happened ?? The NSAC issued a retroactive TUE for the saline THREE WEEKS LATER & issued a statement "Mr Mayweather did nothing wrong so we will not be investigating" ROFL!
When did Floyd tick the box claiming he was dehydrated ?????
Nah boxing isn't corrupt is it

Lots more to it than just 'whose coming forward'

Agree. The part where "Golovkin landed more punches in both fights" is kinda relevant too.

Better question would be why that mattered in this fight but not the first.
What Canelo did in first fight, Golovkin did better in the second without actually running and being on the ropes.
GGG outwotked and outboxed prime ginger in two different styles while well past the prime himself.
