If Carl Froch manages to beat Jermain Taylor, it will be a huge achievement!

Froch has no more than a puncher's chance in my book, David...and in my book, Froch's power, as good as it may be, is not very effective, because of his lack of speed and because he telegraphs his punches so...and because he's not very precise...

    ...so...you do the maths...

(I'm still wondering whether to give you another avatar if you lose, or make you keep your current one...not sure which is worse...):smooch

froch will dismantle taylor, who only looks good when he isnt under any kind of pressure. i dont think his heart is really in boxing, and he is no where near as hungry as froch is. Maybe that comes with being HBO's cash cow for so long untill he came up against pavlik.

Froch added: "If I have to stand in front of Taylor for 12 rounds and have a fight with him in the trenches like I did against Pascal, I will do.

"But I think I'll stop him. I don't think I'll get him out of there early but it's going to be a mid to late stoppage.

"Don't get me wrong, if Taylor decides to take me on early and I catch him sweet, it'll be all over.

"Regardless of what happens early, when he starts to slow down later on — like he does in all his fights — it will be all over.

Either the referee or his corner will jump in and save him. If they don't, I'll leave him in a heap in the corner."

Taylor says that he is embarassed that no one knows who Froch is, won't he more embarassed when Froch lays in to him on the 25th??Also I know that my avatar will be staying as it is, otherwise I wouldn't have taken that on, but there are going to be a lot of Froch faces around in peoples pics soon!!!!

Perhaps more interestingly, Pavlik's record will change distinctly with the result of this fight. If Froch gives JT a spanking, Pavlik's got no world-class pedigree. I'm still going for Taylor by decision, though.

    It doesn't work like that...

...Pavlik beat a top world class MW when he beat Taylor.:good

There is nothing wrong with liking Froch.

He is backing up his words, getting on planes and fighting the best.

WHEN he beats up Taylor and calls out Brut , you'll know that the Romanian's ******* will tighten up a little !

I believe in hit power but only when it comes along with an effective gameplan on the ring. Problem is that both Froch and Taylor are solid hitters but when it comes to implement game plans, Taylor comes second best... Jermain has proven in so far that he cannot adjust and control a fight mentally. All he can do is that physicallity and more physicallity and more... He doesn't know how to use those angles, he can't really countermove on his opponent's lead and he can't absolutely fight patient. Froch will most probably dominate using controlled aggression if he doesn't freeze or gets too cocky.
