    Compare to Joe's?

I know Joe has the win over Kessler and Froch lost one to Kessler, but if Froch was to get the stoppage on Saturday and retire, who's career would you say was better?

He's underrated by Joe Public and overrated by the hardcore.

Froch probably has better wins overall on his record, but Calzaghe was actually the number one in the division and beat the best. Froch has never been number one. He's never beaten the best.

Nowhere near Calzaghe. Joe would have absolutely schooled him.

Joe's record is simply not that great. Welshmen, Khan fanboys and casuals will big up his phoney '0' but time served boxing fans know Carl has had the better career.

He lost to Hopkins anyway so he shouldn't even have the '0'.

I'd say frochs record is better but calzaghe schools froch in a h2h sense.

Guys, this isn't a 'who would win?' type question, just who has had the better career?

I have to side with Carl. Fought better opposition on a consistent basis, fought all over the world and made no qualms/excuses about doing so, fought the best fighters at the time in their prime and is part of the biggest Boxing event in modern British history.

In terms of actually being the best in his division, I'd have to say Calzaghe's career is better than Carls. He also schools him in a head to head

I agree Joe would have won, he would have been too busy and could keep it up for 12 rounds. Also Joe had a great chin.

Just a shame he had a lot of dull / easy fights between Eubank and Lacey, and thats why i'd probably say Froch's CV is equal to Joe's

Joe would slap him silly for 12 rounds

Not asking who would win, i think folk are pretty unanimous on that one. Clearly who has the better record is a little bit harder to determine. Would have to go with Froch on that front though, well travelled too. Would love him to go to vegas next.

Froch lost to Dirrell, everyone knows that. Joe wouldn't have lost to Andre, no chance.

On paper, Froch's career "looks" tougher, but Joe would have beaten everyone Froch fought (apart from Ward, possibly) and done it far more convincingly.

Very likely but the fact he didnt take on such opposition...

I think Calzaghe would have done Ward once he had that self belief after beating Lacy

Calzaghe was the better fighter but far more protected by the likes of W@rren.

Froch though is a warrior and has fought everyone.

Froch has also fought the best opposition. We can't see the same about Calzaghe.

Calzaghe > Froch in terms of talent

Froch > Calzaghe in terms of resume.
