    if he looks impressive...and looks in good shape

    would he be a good opponent for kovalev while waiting for ward

    ward prob wants one more interim, tuneup, fight before kovalev...and kova says he wants to a defense maybe over in russia or whatever......he provides a decent name that has been on the networks

    would be a decent payday for a struggling dawson.....provided he looks in good shape and impressive in a win what do u think about dawson as an interim opponent for kovalev?

    Didn't Dawson get beaten up in sparring by Lionel Thompson before the Ward fight, maybe it should be him, if they're going with a Krusher victim.

    i know...

    but ill say this..i know hes had some money problems, shoulder problem and in general looked out of shape in the last few years

    but ive seen him recently...looks to be in good shape and seems in good spirits...which hasnt been in the case in the last couple of years....

    if he were to be able to get things going this weekend....maybe he could make a live opponent for kova

    i bet it would get a good crowd at mohegan sun....

    Smartest move for both parties would be Dawson vs. Cloud, actually. Sure it comes a few years too late and both have already had their primes smacked outta them, but this was highly in-demand when both had belts and this is the highest purse available for either where they each have a reasonable chance at victory.

    ya that seems prob more likely

    but it would be a low risk/high reward type of fight for haymon to put him in with kova....especially if he got it in connecticut....i mean if dawson got blown out i doubt anyone would be suprised and that would be the end and nobody would care...but if he upset kova it would be huge for dawson/haymon(although very highly unlikely)

    but thats what hbo would like to see.....and dawson at least provides a name that is known to the newtorks....keep in mind this isnt supposed to be some big fight for kova....but something to hold him over through one more ward tuneup

    Meh, I wouldn't want to see it. Dawson is done and the only thing he carries is his name, if Kovalev fights him it's nothing but a cheap way to put a name on his record, I'd rather have a somewhat live dog be picked instead. But if it's going to be a non-challenge either way, then whatever really.

    unless kova was gonna fight fonfara(not likely) before ward...then i think he could do worse .....like i said...u put that at mohegan and on hbo i bet it does pretty well as far as ticket sales....

    of course dawson would have to look impressive this weekend
