If Chavez doesn't make weight, is the fight cancelled?

you are obviously a noob. Alot and I mean alot of fighters make weight gains like that. It is fairly common but of course just to hate you made that comment.

The fight will go on, Chavez will be stripped, fined, and the belt will only be on the line for Martinez.

will martinez make a stink about it, i doubt it. he wants that belt. jr is a known cheater. so, it wouldnt surprise me he does it again. they had like 6 guys in his dressing room when he was gonna take the test. thats a clear violation of the rules. this happened in his last fight against lee. so, he continues to cheat and probably will do the same against martinez.

 

Agreed. Hating on a guy for things he's actually done is one thing. Speculating about potential bad behavior is another.

 

In no other sport can you get away with such blatant and numerous misbehaviours.

if a lot of fighters use that method of making weight, why aren't we hearing news every week that so and so got caught using illegal drugs trying to make weight?

If the fight is cancelled Martinez will lose his home to foreclosure and Chavez will go to SMW.

In all honesty, I hope the fight goes on. It's a heck of a fight on paper. Hopefully, it will translate into a great fight in the ring.
