And it's not because Chisora is an exceptional fighter either. He isn't. He just knows how to make himself fight small, he has good body movement but that's it. When his stamina failed him, he lost the fight. He lost far too many rounds because he started strong and then as he got tired, Vitali managed to steal it at the end. Chisora has nothing to be ashamed of though. He showed he can outfight Vitali, without question. If he was more than a 17 fight veteran and his stamina was better, we would have had a new WBC Champion.
He did seem to fade around the 9th/10th I thought if he had used his jab more he wouldve won, great performance by Chisora
i reckon its more a lack of speed that did him in. he was walking vitali down nicely and getting close enough. just couldnt pull the trigger fast enough. also he didnt seem to have enough power to hurt vitali. good effort though i think haye beats vitali, PROVIDED his chin holds up on the way in (like chisora's did)
Nothng except being a little punk-ass *****, with the social skills of a 5 year old and the IQ of a turnip. - And less punching power than Andre Ward.
He doesn't have any power. He was fighting a one armed guy and still lost in lopsised fashion. He is British level. Nothing more.
Completely disagree. Chisora's workrate did not match his forward momentum. But this was not due to stamina, this was due to him being tagged, and not landing as often as he could/wanted. He had 3-4 good rounds tops. The other rounds, Chisora did not start strong, and then Vitali stole them. He lost them because Vitali landed more of the cleaner blows. Good effort by Chisora though.
Yeah, you could be right with that. He never had trouble landing the body shots though, so he should have done that more. What was frustrating was Chisora's lack of body movement. Any time he moved, Vitali couldn't hit him and yet because of his stamina issues, he would end up marching in straight lines whenever he was tired. It was really frustrating to watch because he showed signs he could beat Vitali.
If he'd managed to hit Klitschko more and gotten hit less, that would be another way he could have beaten Vitali. Fact.
You listened to the commentary far too much. The scores were right on for this fight, VK boxed the living **** out of Chisora. Chisora might have landed 1 or 2 shots max per round, while VK peppered him with rights the whole fight. I gave Chisora the 12th, that's it.
british level is closer to world level than european level and american level, because who has pushed vitali that hard in years.
Disagree heavily with that. Stamina wasn't Chisora's problem. Skill and quality, was. Even if he had a full tank by the 10th, he still would have been hitting thin air with those looping shots, and allowing Vitali to land rights at will. He done himself proud by lasting the full 12 and pushing Vitali harder that what most thought, but let's not kid ourselves here, he was still outclassed by a large margin. To say he lost tonight because of bad stamina, is laughable, to the say the least.
