If Clottey was beating Margs and Williams beat him, what is Cotto gonna do to him.

Seriously, Clottey was kicking the **** out of Margarito until he hurt his hand, and I was at the Williams fight, I didn't give Margarito over 4 rounds in that fight.

I don't think he has a chance in hell against Cotto.

Clottey and Williams are bigger welterweight fighters for starters.

Margarito is going to pressure Cotto unlike any previous opponent.

Margarito is going to throw more punches then Cotto has every seen.

Cotto is not a homerun hitter and therefore Margarito is going to walk threw Cotto's punches and then Cotto is going to realize he took the wrong fight!

While I do agree that Cotto is much better than Clottey and hits harder than Williams, I cant use that argument to say Cotto will destroy Margarito. The reason I say this is b/c Clottey has a winky type defense which allows him to cover up completely and then unload combos while staying inside. Cotto doesnt have that kind of defense.

Again, I do think Cotto is going to win, but not for the reasons stated.

Not even a punchers chance? I know Margarito is not the big banger like Quintana & Malignaggi! Or that European guy Cotto fought?

What you think is what you think :D . . .

Who gave Spinks a chance to beat Ali?
Who gave Douglas a 50 -1 underdog a chance to beat Tyson?
Who gave Baldomir a chance to beat Judah?
Who gave Pacquaio a chance to beat Barrera?
Who gave Raheem a chance to beat Morales?

. . . and the list goes on.

So don't talk about Margarito not having a chance against Cotto . . . that's bull****. Cotto is not an immortal . . . he is just human. One haymaker can change a lot of things in this fight. :yep :hey

It's about style. Williams is difficult for anyone and bigger than Marg, so Marg couldn't do what he usually does to smaller opponents, and started slow in that fight... was injured in the Clottey fight himself, too. That being said, I think Cotto will overcome some rough patches and pull a fairly close UD out.

Agree. As soon as Margarito feels Cotto's power and strength, the tornado will start to level down to a breeze. That thunderous jab Cotto has is going to make a difference. Stoppage by cuts or UD in favor of Cotto.
