I believe Cotto will win this fight, but Margarita has a chance to win. If Margarita wins, it has to be by TKO or KO. If it's a UD or SD, Cotto wins. If Cotto tap Margarita's body like he should, he will win by TKO.

There will only be one fighter backing up here.
If Cotto stand's and trades Maragrito will more than welcome it.
Miguel is nowhere near as fast as Williams
and if Cotto decides to take some of those shot's Paul took
while boxing Margo, he might get a KO L.

Seem's like most are banking on a body shot to end it
Maybe, But what when your opponent also throw's to the body?

it's gonna be a great fight.

Clotty, Williams ect... need not apply
    It's Margarito Vs. Cotto not

I don't think your assessments are correct.

I have watched the Clottey fight, and Antonio Margarito controlled the fight from round 5. Regardless of wether or not Clotty injured his hand, this is a typical thing in Margarito fights. He has such a huge punch output that his opponents don't perform as well down the stretch as he does. They usually cannot keep up with him. As a side note, Clottey is an underrated welterweight and would pose problems for any of the elite, including Miguel Cotto.

The Paul Williams fight was not Margarito's finest hour. In all truth, Williams did a great job on boxing on the outside and used his underrated jab effectively enough to keep Margarito from getting inside. With that said, like the Clottey fight, it was Margarito who was getting the rounds in the bank down the stretch, if you discount the final round where Antonio was shattered. Worth noting that Margarito had been fairly inactive at that time, and he suffered for it. I gave Margarito more than 4 rounds, but I still had Williams winning the fight fairly comfortably. Again, Williams would pose problems for anybody at Welterweight, including Miguel Cotto.

Antonio Margarito is a pressure fighter, he isn't the most accurate, but his combination punching is beautiful. His best punch by a mile is his uppercut, which he landed against Williams on a few occasions. Cotto has been vunerable to that punch, so it may turn out to be a big factor in their upcoming bout. Antonio is a hard worker and a big strong welterweight, and those advantages are problems for any welterweight.

Neither is margarito. Cotto is also twice as fast as him. Cotto proved that he has a great combination of speed in strength when fighting faster opponents(judah) who he cut the ring off easily and just bullied and stronger opponents who actually had speed(mosley) margartio falls short in enough speed to cut the ring off on Cotto. Cotto also would out jab the **** out of him in the jab battle. Cotto's faster hands and both have equal power but Cotto is accurate. If Cotto turns it on early he got this.

:lol::lol::lol: Have you seen cotto fight...the mother****er kept up with the FASTEST boxers in the sport punch for punch and in foot speed. ****ing crackheads I tell ya. Margarito has NEVER been in the ring with a fast boxer and the only one he been in there with in Williams he lost. Margarito CANNOT fight on the move. He can only fight if he has you against the ropes etc etc. He NEVER has done any real damage in the middle of the ring. He can ony be effective if he has you cornered and he can fling his wide shots and uppercuts and you cant back off. See..umm any of his fights. He is so slow on his feet like the williams fight he ate 4 punches and by the time he got to where Williams was, Williams was gone. If Cotto could NOT fight backing up Margarito has a %45 chance, since ummm he can and do it will margarito has a %30 chance.

So you too noticed how much Clottey dominated Marg up until the 5th when he hurt his left hand huh? What i don't understand is one judge scoring it 10-2 for Marg when it was obvious as night and day that Clottey clearly won the first four rounds. What fight was he watching? :nut

As for Marg's upper cut, how often will he get a chance to throw it? I doubt that Cotto will be that stupid and play into Marg's strength by fighting on the inside and staying close to Marg. He should negate Marg's strengths by using his superior hand speed, foot speed, jab, and overall boxing skill by fighting on the outside and picking his spots. There's always that chance that the brawler in Cotto comes out and he gets suckered into a brawl and if that's the case, it's a toss up fight. But if he's smart and boxes, it will be lopsided. But i guess that's why it's interesting. You never know which Cotto will show up.

Clottey was out boxing Margarito but quit in the last half of the fight, what about the two injurys Tony had during the fight as well? why do you biased ****s seem to always over look that.
Bottom line is Clottey didnt want to risk what it took to beat Margarito so he played it safe and stayed in survival mode. in my eyes he quit fighting Margaritos body shots did have an effect on him so did the head shots.
yeah he was getting off early but he wasnt kicking the **** out of Tony, he looked good in some rounds but fell apart down the streach and one man kept fighting the other didnt want to

You are one funny mother****er. He rearranged margarito's face that fight. I can count on my ****ing hand how many actual punches margarito landed per round. He was hitting gloves and elbows. ANYBODY WHO WATCHED THE FIGHT WITHOUT MARGO BALLS IN THERE FACE KNOWS THIS. CLOTTEY WAS BEATING THE **** OUT OF HIM B/C MARGARITOS HEAD WAS LIKE A ****ING PINYATA>:D:D

I couldn't agree more. Margo has to have someone who will stand in front of him so he can set his feet in order to be effective, he can't deal with movement Williams was out manuvering him at will. Anyone who can take a punch, has fast hands can counter-punch or fight off their back foot will give Margo hell.

Williams is way taller than Cotto and doesn't really fight the same, nor does Clottey who got injured early in the fight. Still picking Cotto by UD but not because Williams and Clottey did good against Marg.

The fight was no different than Judah Mayweather, Judah got off to an early start but faded, Clottey started fast but faded, the difference is Clottey threw out an excuse there, Judah did not.
I am sure you can count how many shots Tony landed, why dont you get Floyds **** surgicly removed from your mouth his balls are blinding you from reality.
Clottey quit like a *****, he stopped throwing what part of that dont you understand. I mean why would teh mans corner ask him why he wasnt throwing if he was beating the **** out of Tony?
I know why your mad, its becuase your boy didnt have the balls to fight the man, and your upset becuase Cotto and Tony are getting more respect from fans and experts than Floyd got his entire career.
