If Clottey was beating Margs and Williams beat him, what is Cotto gonna do to him.

If there is one fight that you can look at in Cotto's career as being someone similar to Margarito it would probably be Kelson Pinto who was around 5"10" and threw about 120 punches per round against Cotto had much quicker hands then Margarito and a better KO percentage then Margarito I believe he was 21-0 with 18 KO's when he faced Cotto. In rounds 2 and 4 he threw over 135 punches and lost by KO in the 6th round i believe. In that fight Cotto backtracked when needed and engaged when he choose to exchange the fight showed Cotto's technical brillance over a fighter who just threw punches from all angles.

 

Clottey was man-handling Margo in the early rounds of the fight.. Then he hurt his hand, but he also has stamnia issues too.. Either way, Cotto is going to outclass Margo.. He won't sit on the ropes and let Margo go to work.. He's gonna' keep moving and poppin' accurate counter shots right on Margo's face..

 

Guess what. Floyd won fighter of the year when he was partially retired. He was p4p #1 in the sport for the last 3 years. Margarito WHO?? that dude is a ****ing nobody and always will be. There is a reason for that.

 

Are you ****ing ******ed Cotto is not no where near as fast as Williams you must be stepping off a little yellow bus or something or need to be coming off of one if you aint. Williams is a slow punching fighter compared to Cotto. Also Williams is so weight drained that any clean punch wobbles him also how many ****ing times has Cotto been knocked down?... Once to Ricardo Torres who has only has like 3 fights go the distance in his career and a much harder single punch fighter then Margarita is. Now you boy Magarita has been knocked down more then once. Name one power puncher Margarita has fought in the last ten years. Daniel ****ing Santos had him reeling before the fight was stopped on cuts. You want a grade Margarita b Level fighter Cotto A level fighter. How about dem apples

 

Whipty do, Floyd retired on top so what, he will always be remembered for the fighter with a great set of skills but lacked the heart to test them against the very best, nothing you can say changes that fact, live with it.

 

i have cotto for this match but style makes fights and cotto style is more suitable for margarito than that of williams and clottey

 

It's amazing to me that people reflect back on the Williams fight in order to predict the future of the Cotto fight.

I saw the Williams vs Margarito fight and granted Tony started slow giving up most of the early rounds but came storming back in the late rounds knocking Williams all over the ring. At the end of the fight it looked like Williams had been run over by a train. He looked badly beaten up.

Although Williams did come out with the victory, it's very hard for me to say he won the fight.....if that makes any sense.
I feel that if Tony would have fought the first half of the fight the way he fought the second half that Williams would have been stopped and do not think it can be argued that had it been a 15 round fight that Williams would have bitten the dust.

The bottom line is Williams got the W.......the hard way. But here again, Williams will give anyone trouble.

I just don't think we can judge Cotto vs Margarito with a fight of the past, especially the Williams fight.
