If Cloud easily beats Johnson, will it make Dawson look bad?

not really. Johnson is even older than he was before and is probably starting to be pretty spent


I'd be impressed with Cloud though, I think Johnson gives him a tough fight.

 

No for several reasons.

1). Dawson whooped Johnson pretty badly the 2nd time around. If the two fights are supposed to determine who the better fighter is, the 2nd fight pretty much nullified the first.

2). Styles makes fights. Having said that, I think this will be a FOTY candidate and the only way Cloud gets an easy fight is if he scores an early booming KO, which I doubt.

3). Dawson didn't fight his fight the first go around. Lets face it, most people find Dawson to be a pretty boring fighter(though purists love him). Why would he want to mix it up with Johnson? No idea. 2nd fight was his type of fight. Good movement, good jab, picking his spots.

4). Johnson is 2 years and 4 fights older. In my opinion he has finally lost steam(ironically, I base this more off of his win over Mack than his loss to Dawson).

Having said all of this...if Cloud scores a KO on Johnson....his hype will go through the roof.
