...would any of you guys be interested?

43 years old and last seen being stopped in 1 by someone named Osborne Machimana, Corrie remains a intruiging figure and a hot topic of debate amongst ESBers.

Corrie is an enigma, and whereas the wins largely don’t match the legend, he did beat Wlad in one of the most 1 sided beatdowns since a young George Foreman knocked down Joe Frazier six times. Even his big losses against Rahmen and Vitali were exciting fights. There is just something about a big, hard punching southpaw with fast hands who just comes in and lets it all hang out for 4-6 rounds that is inherently entertaining.

Nor is there really any Corrie Sanders proxy right now. No one outside of Vitali who is hot has the same combo of big, hard punching and good. The division is largely dominated by smallish heavies and former cruisers. I respect Chambers and Povetkin immensely, but I give Fast Eddie no chance what-so-ever to beat Wlad, and Povetkin would have to make a quantum leap. I think a lot of people would much rather see, even now, a Sanders rematch.

    Do you agree?

No, there's no point anymore. It's a shame he didn't get serious about boxing until he was getting past his physical prime, with his combination of speed and power he could have made the heavyweight division alot more interesting in the late 90's/early 00's.

Wlad is a different fighter now and a rematch with Sanders would probably have the same result as the rematch he had with Brewster. Remember Wlad beat the crap out of Brewster in the rematch and he would prob do the same thing to Sanders. But yes I'd still like the see the fight to see if Wlad would avenge his loss. Btw what did you think the the fight with Vitali vs. Corrie???

I found it to be an exciting fight. Corrie has him shook up for a bit- there was that pseudo knock down. Then Corrie faded like he tends to do.

Waste of time for Sanders unless he needs the money. Why go in against a guy that good and dangerous after you're retired? Sure Wlad could do it and avenge a devastating loss but he wouldn't get as much credit for it as he would new flack for fighting an old shot fighter or even more credit than he did flack for the original loss.

Sanders looked awful in his last fight. He looked like he had swallowed a beach ball.

I would watch it but it would be even worse than the Wlad- Brewster @ fight. nothing to win for Wlad (he could fight Puritty after that and would revenged all his losses but there is nothing it to that right now).

Nah, not at this stage. What's the point? Sanders has already bounced WALD up and down anyway so he should just enjoy his golf.

I would rather watch an old youtube video of their old fights than go to watch a comeback fight live and all-expenses paid.

  14. Forget about it:-( if there was going to be a rematch it should have taken place, a very long time ago:patsch..
Sanders is to old and outta shape to fight now, Wlad has improved gotten better, Sanders has gotten fatter, older, it would be a mis-match..
