I would be ecstatic. He would definitely rank high on the ATG list. Where people want to place him is pretty subjective.

    Of course.

He'd be one of the greatest Puerto Rican fighters of all time.

That is a terrible comparison, the first fight was super competitive.

I don't have a list, but since I like him so much, 60-70 would be fair. I can think of 60 fighters who have accomplished more. But his overlooked and impressive resume would definitely be in the spotlight should he get the two victories that would serve as a cherry on top.

Really cmon now that is putting him way high up there he is higher than 70 as of now. What other fighter that only has lost 2 times "one highly controversial as we know" has beat the TWO BEST FIGHTER of that Generation..

That is like Foreman beating Ali and Frazier and you not putting him in the top 10,that is huge.

Then again Cotto is one of those guys that will never get credit from his critics.

Cotto is one of my two favorite fighters. But off the bat, I can name around 30 more accomplished fighters. Add some 20 I'm not familiar with due to history. Then 10-20 of the great fighters of the decade preceding him. I can see 50, but no higher. It's just so hard to gauge. He's a future Hall of Famer already, and I guess those two wins would propel him quite a bit. Not higher than Manny though I don't think.

Not it's not. And that's because nobody was convinced that Tarver fought an inshape Roy in the first fight, everyone said he was weight drained. So everyone expected the Roy from the Montell Griffen fight in the rematch and he was in tremendous shape for the second fight, and even hired Mackie Shillston to help him with the second fight, so it was very shocking when Tarver beat him in that second fight. Everyone thought it was because of him not being in shape physically because of him not taking off the weight the right way but it really had to do with styles.
