Margarito called him out forever and Arum made him an $8,000,000.00 offer yet Gayfeather did more backpedaling than Michael Jackson does in one of his concerts. I think he'd do the same if Cotto were to call him out. Wait before you begin the rain of excuses, let me break out the umbrella.:deal

if he beats him well he can take over JMM's spot at #4, and come really close to Calzaghe at #3

Pretty much I disagree with all 3, right now at this moment everyone is calling out for cotto/mayweather, from the fans, Larry Merchant, and even ESPN analyst have ask Floyd... all the hype is already all build up for this fight...

Margarito is no push over, great chin, body puncher, great output, top 3 welterweight, any decision cotto gets even a s/d would only encourage more of a build up between cotto/mayweather

I completely disagree with the last one, even if cotto loses to margarito in no way you could compare a cotto to jeff lacy, cotto has accomplish way more than lacy himself...

So what? Margo was a nobody not to mention he got more money to face Baldo the linear champ. Who in their right mind would fight a nobody in Margo over the linear champ at 147? If Margo was the linear champ at 147 PBF would have fought him end of discussion. He has a history of fighting the linear champs in every weight class he's been in the exception being 140 because Hatton turned him down and 154 because there wasn't one.:deal

On your last point Cotto hasn't called him out and hasn't made an offer so your speculation is bull****.:hi:

The latest Ring Ratings on the web shows he is at #7 . . . If he wins against Margo . . . I say he should be #4 ahead of Bhops and Juan Marquez who suffered loses recently.

Let me ask you this pimp. Say Mayweather wins another SD over Hoya, then 9 months later beats Hatton in a rematch, then fights Pac 6 months after that. After the Pac fight will you still have him at P4P #1, regardless of what everyone else is doing around him?

you're rating margarito from notoriety not who he's beaten.
compared to floyd's resume margarito has pretty well nothing.

Common sense dictates he should rise up in the list but definitely not enough to put him in #1.

    You have problem with that?

    I'm a Cotto fan too buddy . . . but not a blind nuthugger.

No, I think Cotto's Destruction of Quintana should now mean much more...much more! His wins over Judah and Mosley and then the way he treated Gomez like a ***** all puts him in contention already.

Didn't do so for Williams. Margo is not a top fighter.;)

Cotto's already there, Margo is just another 'decent' win, the Quintana win means more than Margo but the moronic boxing fans won't agree because it seems the Margarito hype train has returned.

What is it about sloppy Margarito that they are so attracted to?
