If you or anyone else thought that Baldo had a chance of winning against Gayfeather than you need to watch more boxing to educate yourself on fighters. At around the time Gayfeather handpicked Baldo, most of the boxing websites and respected journalists were proclaiming Margarito to be Gayfeather's biggest threat. Or are you so ignorant as to think that Margarito wouldn't have beaten Baldo and Gatti? Baldo was pretty much cashing his retirement check with the Gayfeather fight. It doesn't matter if he had all the belts. Gayfeather found the path of least resistance and took it. Some people were able to see it, and some, like you, swallowed hook, line, and sinker!! :deal
Well I guess we'll agree to disagree. I just can't see how winning some rounds while losing a fight now merits a never was (DLH) to fight the young lion (Cotto). To top it off, you even say by beating an overmatched Forbes is more than enough to give DLH the benefit of the doubt and let him cut in line. :huh I don't agree with that ranking system. In that case, Margo won some rounds against Williams, and won the fight against Cintron. According to your ranking system, he should get a fight with DLH, Gayfeather, Cotto, Mosley or whomever he sees fit based on that alone.
I don't get why a domination of sub-world class Margarito means more than the close win over definite world class Mosely, whom most would still consider elite. Margarito is nowhere near an elite fighter, it should be expected that Cotto blows him out of there when you view his last bunch of fights with Williams and Clottey.
And a loss to Paul Williams and what would have been a loss to Joshua Clottey if not for an injury, a BAD loss as that, Clottey was setting up the KO prior to breaking his hand.
Fighter of the year by doing what? Fighting a swarming, hugging-addicted fatboy who leads with his head, not to mention that he doesn't even belong at 147. Or the fact that he took on a "name," in perhaps one of the years most anticipated matches only to turn it into a glorified snoozefest? I thought top fighters fought to win. Not Gayfeather, he fights not to lose because he doesn't dare to be great. I guess it also must have slipped your mind that the supposedly P4P'er (DLH) hasn't done squat in the last couple of years except lose 3 out of the last 6 he has fought (That sure is P4P material  ). I'm sure people who have never seen boxing and tuned in for the first time will surely want to cough up more dough to see "the man" in action. Geez, how long have you been watching boxing? Years? And you got suckered into believing that Gayfeather is supposed to be the best in boxing right now? You sure know your boxing!! atsch
If COTTO beats MArg then he has to be considered THE MAN @147...PBF is THE RING champ, BUT he hasn't fought a top ten 147 fighter for a while, his last two matches were Hatton and DLH...COTTO has to get MAD PROPS for keeping it real in battle with TRUE WW's
Actually Cotto can KO Margo, win a rematch with Shane. Maybe fight Williams or Berto. I love how its so hard to capture the P4P #1 spot, yet so easy to hold on to it. So all Floyd has to do is keep winning, regardless of who he is fighting?? I disagree here bro :deal But this won't be an issue after Delahoya whips his ass in a few months :yep
\ What your dumbass refuses to acknowledge is the fact that Baldo was the linear champ at 147 period. You can't hand pick the linear champ he's the man in the divison that everyone there wants a piece of.:deal Baldo proved himself in the ring and won the linear championship and you can't take that away from him unlike Margo who had been at 147 for years and never fought for the championship. But your blind irrational hate of PBf won't let you listen to sound logic. Instead you continue to say fighting Margo made more sense. Only a fool or a PBF hater sees things your way. A linear championship means more than a win over a WBO titleholder it puts you in the driver seat in the division and no ammount of BS spin will ever change it.:hi: :deal
