i know its a big IF .. But if Cotto beats Margarito and then goes on to fight Oscar and wins .. if Mayweather doesnt come out of retirement to fight him, who would you rank higher in history at that point Cotto or Mayweather ??.. If you would still pick Floyd, what would Cotto have to do and who would he have to fight in his next 5 or so fights in order for you to rate him above floyd ????

    Floyd by far.

Cotto is NOWHERE near Floyd in terms of accomplishments.

Mayweather of course. Cotto will need to win multiple titles at different weights against quality opponents. I think he has the desire and focus to achieve it

Floyd has more accomplishments, but I would definitely rank Cotto ahead of Floyd at 147..

If he does both of these things, then yes, I would. If he does so then I believe his resume is stronger, and that is the most important thing IMO. PBF may have been more talented, but if Cotto wins those two fights, I would rank him very slightly above PBF on strength of opposition, and because he would very likely go on from that and achieve more.

Well, I would definitely rank Cotto above Money Mayweather if he can become the Undisputed Welterweight champion.

I already rank him above Floyd. Whats wrong with you people?
despite the great difference in level of opposition(cotto wins clearly) any of the fighters that both have fought have been obliterated by Cotto and narrowly won by Fraud Gayweather

As a welterweight, yes. In p4p terms, no. He would need to probably dominate at 154 aswell and perhaps even win a belt at 160.

No, beating Margo and a more shot DLH than Mayweather faced does not mean he has accomplished more than Floyd.

:yikes This has to be a f***ing joke right. Who the hell is Margarito again? Oh yeah a nobody.Floyd beats Oscar and Oscar is old and washed up. If Cotto beats him now its a good win and he is better then Floyd all time. That is the dumbest thing I ever heard.:patsch I mean really stupid. Floyd started at 130 then went all the way to 154. Cotto has been good for what 2 years now. The same Cotto who at 140 was to green to fight Money May right. Look who ever believes this is a hater and should do the world a favor and kill themself really. Better ATG then Money NO today and every day after that. Just crazy Cotto better then Money for beating a average fighter aka Bum Margarito and what is The Golden Man now not Boy 35-36 just crazy.

What the **** does Floyds work at 130 have to do with here and now or even lately?
Floyd was a good superfeather but that was awhile ago
Cotto has beaten the best at 140 and 147
So get your head out of your ass and logout for your level of ignorance
and again ignore the fact that Cotto beat the **** out of Judah(who knocked floyd down and molested him the first half of their fight), Mosley, (another fighter Gayweather convieniently avoided) and Corley....all fighters that Floyd couldnt finish.
and to get your facts straight at 130 Fraud fought Corrales, Chavez, Manfredy, and Hernandez(who also layed Floyd on his ass)

So have fun pretending that your man lover is anything more than a GOOD superfeather because he isnt:hi:

He epitomises what a hypejob, and a coward truly is

Beating Margo and Oscar is not that big a deal. If Cotto unifies at 147 and 154 then we're talking.

So what did Floyd do at 147 thats so amazing?
    Didnt unify the division
Avoided the top names in the division
Fraud fought and beat Mitchell(shot), Judah(owned him for the first half of the fight) and Baldomir(Fraud had his trackshoes the whole fight and to not fall asleep during it meant a few pots of coffee)

So what is the big ****ing deal?

Well he was on HBO most of his career so why not buy into all the hype and bull**** that he's about:patsch

    You people are ****ing pathetic:-(

BTW why do you discredit Floyd for not finishing fighters when that's not his style to finish fighters? His style is to win UDs.
