I would say yes if he beats him clearly and by a good margin . . . I think Tito is a bit over-ranked around here. Tito didn't beat Oscar, Oscar gave the fight away . . . Pernell was on crack, not to mention his hand wraps.

No...I don't think so....but he's definitely 2nd. Martinez is almost 40...neither man is in his prime. I think it's a good win...a great name to have on his resume but it's not like Cotto is facing a Sergio that beat Pavlik or Williams.

Yes I would say so. Trinidad is a legend but lets not forget that he lost to DeLaHoya. He badly lost to Hopkins and faded Roy Jones.

Tito Trinidad would not have lost to Trout, or Pac or Margarito, loaded gloves or not.
if only Cotto had been as disciplined as Tito his 5'7" frame wouldn't be bloated and taking losses to the likes of Trout nor would he have gassed out vs Margarito, also maybe with a real trainer in his camp would have also prevented the Pac debacle.

I agree with the bold part above but

I would favour Pac over Tito, who had trouble with fighters with lateral movement.

who knows how he does against the plaster master . . . its easier to say that he would have beat him but Margo for all his faults was one tough SOB and probably take tito's punch . . . question is could Tito take the damage from the bricks Margo was packing

Trout . . . yeah you are probably right about that

However, I do not think Tito would beat Serg even at this point of his career.
