Close but I don't think so. He has fought a bunch of very good fighters lately but other than Sugar he does not have a great name under his belt.

I doubt Cotto would do some chicken **** move like that. He has more heart than Naseem. He is a real top fighter not some Frank Warren Marketing Scheme.

Unfortunently, no. Although he has HOF skills and talent. But he needed a longer rein at Welterwieght. Frankly he'll never be the same again so he should retire anyways and just live with the fact that he was an amazing fighter and those who saw him know it. He also should kick himself for facing Antonio Margarito.

You seriously think he should retire after one loss?? I believe Cotto will bounce back.

no chance, completly disagree. how do you know he will never be the same, not every boxer is the same. I know it was a beating, it was brutal, but we'll havr to wait and see, Cotto is still a terrific fighter and it proves in boxing anything can happen. I know there were a fair share of people whpo thought cotto would have his first defeat but i reckon alot more people thought cotto would continue his wrecking mission. It'll be a show of his character and show hoe much of a champion cotto is. i'm sure he'll be back

perhaps he'll be in the same page as hamed..or just edging hamed a bit in terms of resume. He's got one ATG in his resume mosley but still half the credit as mosley is already past his prime

If Cotto retires right now people right or wrong will say Margrito exposed him. Just like people say Barrera exposed Hamed. Retiring now can only hurt his HOF chances.

I believe he could bounce back but whats the point? If he's finincially set then walk away while you still have your health.
