If Cotto Faught Floyd and Flattened him. What would you say about them

then i'd consider cotto possibly (depending on the results of other top 4 p4pers) P4P number 1 or 2. consider him at the very least top 100 all time, and hope to god he goes on to unify the division, undispute it, and create a long and successful legacy. maybe even hope he considers a shout at 154 - however i'd like to see at least full unification of 147. he doesnt need to defend his titles against random mandatories - just do what haye did and unify the division.

for the record i feel floyd would teach him something - but that would be how i felt if cotto did win in such a fashion

 

cotto would instantly become a hated fighter due to all the irritating nuthuggers who are going to become fans of his.

 

I'd say
#1) Cotto is the best welter of our generation and
#2) we have to start considering Cotto's place as an ATG.
*3) since defeating Floyd would pretty much empty the division of credible competition, I would love to see him attempt to go up another division and test his skills.

just to go the other way...if floyd did the same thing
#1) He would have cemented his place totally without any question as a top 10 - 20 ATG status

#2) If he want to jump into that top 5 status, I'd love to see him attempt to go up and beat a middle weight champ who is relevant like Pavlik or whoever the current champ would be at the time.
