Is Margarito vindicated in your view if he repeats his performance vs Cotto?
........or will you still be stating an unfounded statement that he plastered vs Cotto?

Why would he deserve criticism for giving the fans what they want?

    Uhhh...

Fighting a guy to avenge one of his only two losses, in a rematch in where Cotto will PROBABLY be the underdog in?

How can anyone recieve critisism when entering a 50/50 type fight (if that, I favor Marg more then that), and one in which it will be avenging a defeat at that.

    :huh:huh:huh

Anyone pissing on Cotto for taking this fight would be out of touch with reality, imo.

Philla, Margo has had ABSOLUTELY no success at 154lb ever in his career. I don't think it is a bad fight. Because Margo is more dedicated to his craft than Mayorga and more talented and more accomplished than Yuri will ever be.

But to say Margo destroys anyone at 154lb just doesn't have any real substance or merit behind it.

He deserves criticism if he takes it. Wasn't he the same who said that Margo will never ever earn a penny from him? Wasn't he the same who wanted Margo out of the sport?(he has good reasons for wanting him out). So, why Margo all of a sudden becomes a "big name" when he hasn't done anything but losing ever since that fight in 2008. He obviously deserves critics, though that doesn't mean that I don't want to see it if it happens.

Of course he deserves it. Anyone who's ever criticized Pac for making the cheater tons of money should also agree with this.

Will Cotto get the criticism that Pac got? Of course not. Cotto is not the P4P #1, so belittling him for fighting Margarito doesn't tarnish such a legacy.

People are hypocrites. They say they want to see Cotto get his revenge by pummeling and beating Margarito even if it makes the cheater more millions. Pac already pummeled and beat and made Margarito millions. But because Pac had no revenge in mind, he gets the criticism.

Will Yahoo's Kevin Iole write an article saying Cotto fighting Margarito is a black eye to the sport? Highly unlikely.

    Funny how the world works.

Margarito doesn't deserve the fight. Thats an issue, he's done NOTHING to warrant another title shot. Let alone another PPV pay day.

Tell that to Uncle Bob. He will make the rematch. People will buy the PPV. It's called business. Controversy sells, just ask Floyd. Even a 38 year old Mayorga sells. Just ask Uncle bob.

Here comes the morality police again.

At the end of the day, the question you would be asking is if this is a fight worth watching.

    The answer is yes.

That is all that is important.

WTF is the question of deserving the fight?

Based on credentials alone, margarito is more deserving than anybody else! His resume consists of the who's who in the division.

Assuming that you are one of the morality policeman in ESB, the dude served his time and rightfully he should be allowed to fight.
