    Who's saying Cotto-Mayorga sold?

I seriously doubt it will do more than 200K, I actually believe it will do significantly less that that.
Would you consider that a sucess?

Margarito vs Cotto should do well over 500K in the Latino base alone, which is why it makes sense to have this rematch take place.

Pacquiao and Cotto occupy different positions in the world of boxing and had different histories with Margarito. I don't see why recognizing this fact when evaluating both fighters' decisions is indicative of hypocrisy.

No, when you are talking about a ppv title fight that is not all that is important. Both guys should be deserving of the opportunity. Margarito is not imo. if there is no title at stake then its different. Im not sure yet if there will be or not.

No . . . wanting to fight the guy who knocked you out is a gutsy move. So it deserves phraise.

But it will be better for Cotto to fight names like Angulo or Alvarez

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

    Are you ****ing joking me?

Margarito has DONE JACK **** AT 154. He lost his last fight there (151) to a guy who doesn't belong in the division. His best win is Robert Garcia who no one has heard of. He's not in the legit top 100 of the division.

Margarito isn't deserving of anything. He beat Cintron at 147, that doesn't reflect to 154.

It'd be one thing if he was a Mayweather or Pacquaio where hes moved up other divisions and won, and he gets the free title shot. Margarito has done nothing to warrant another title shot at 154. Except getting his ass beat by the smaller Pacquaio, which was widely the predicted outcome anyway.

Even then, I understand and respect Cotto for wanting and probably taking the fight. He wants revenge, that still does not mean that Margarito earned it.

If Cotto-Mayorga met or exceeded PPV expectations, then yes, it's a success.

    Are you ****ing dense?

We are talking here of cotto vs. Margarito, which both have done **** at mw and btw both are brutalized by PAC. If they are going to fight, be it ww or mw, makes no difference.

Margarito fought the who's who in the mw division who now moved up.

Margarito holds stoppage victories over the Ring #1 and #3 at jr middle, and the Ring middleweight champ. He will be a major player at 154. After he beats Cotto, we'll see how many will be lining up to fight him for an easy payday, if he's such a bum at that weight.

Yea he did that at 147 though.

It's like saying if Pac got KOed to Margarito at 154 (151) the same would happen to him by Hatton at 140.
