I only ask this because 3 fights ago.... I'm sure every ones response would have been "it's what I expected" or "not very surprised at all"...

I would've still picked Pac to beat Cotto before Hatton and Dlh fights WalkWM. If PAc was given sufficient time to Pac on the weight, I'd pick Pac still. Cotto has the skills for the upset, but PAc is just on his game right now.

Not too shocking considering Pac has never been tested at this weight and we still do not know if he can handle a real welterweight punch.

I think a poll would state that that would've been a 50-50 fight. I always like two fists better than one even if Cotto is a well schooled fighter.

    EDIT

Thought the title was "Pacquiao KO'ing Cotto in less than 4".

If Cotto finishes Pac in less than 4 I'll be VERY shocked, possibly the biggest shock since RJJ/Tarver 2 for me.

I voted 'surprised'. I wouldn't expect it to happen, however, Pacquiao just cannot shock me anymore.

EDIT: Ah ****, I misread the thread title.

If Cotto wins I'd expect it to be from a ko and not because he is able to outbox Pac over 12 rounds. That said I wouldn't be too surprised if the fight ended early. However if Cotto comes out and absolutely blitzes Pac in round 1, I would indeed be a little befuddled.

Not all that surprised. I wouldn't be all that surprised if Pacquiao stopped Cotto either though.

    same here

If someone is getting the KO early its likely to be Cotto
but in the late rounds its more likely Pac gets the KO

Not very surprised. Essentially what you have is a full-fledged welterweight fighting a lightweight whose chin hasn't been tested above 130 pounds.

I wouldn't be too surprised, but I would also be somewhat surprised in Cotto because that would mean he put on a great performance against a slick fighter. And we haven't seen the Cotto who ran through jr. welter in a while. Either that or Cotto landed a clean counter shot.
Thing is they are going to be wearing the 8 ouncers this fight. In my opinion they both have the same power, its just Pacquiao is the smaller man and won't take the punch as well. This fight is not going the distance, and someone is going to get KO'd. This is a game of russian roulette for each fighter. Someone is going to get blown away, and fast.
