I actually think Pacquiao will stop Cotto in 3-4 rounds. It's a question of a faster puncher against a slower boxer who needs to pressure-fight to win. As with Hatton and Oscar, Cotto will not be able to consistently get close enough to impose his superior size and strength.

Can Cotto land? That's the question we can't answer. It doesn't have to be a head punch . . . a body punch in the right weak point can also result to stoppage.

So like I said . . . I won't be suprised because the posibility is realistically there.

Cotto is the strongest fighter Pac has ever fought and I see Cotto having a very good chance of KOing him.

Of course if Pac can take Cotto's power then I see him outspeeding and outclassing Cotto.

One thing I will point out is that the way to beat Pac is with great timing, Marquez has the best timing in the business and Cotto also has excellent timing. With great timing you can neutralise speed.

This is going to be a great fight, I am rooting for Pac but have no idea how it's going to turn out.

I have been a Pac fan since he had been fighting in the PI as a teenager. But I am a realist in that I think he is jumping a gap that is too far. Cotto is a fighter who fights at 147 yet he comes in at 158-160- a middleweight, or two divisions higher than 147, while Pac will be at 147-148 pounds at fight night.

Although as a complete package (defensive and offensive arsenals), Pac might be ahead of Cotto but the gap is not so big. We still do not know how Pac handles a punch of that division. One thing though that may favor Pac is that Cotto apparently did not bring his power at 147 or his power still stayed at 140 (meaning it did not increase). He was hitting Margarito with the kitchen sink, the toilet bowl with no effect. But even at 140 he never tasted the power of a 140er, Hatton barely touched him.

So no one actually knows how he handles a power of a 147 fighter.

For everyone picking Pac because cotto wont be able to handle his speed.... tell me please how he was able to handle Zabs speed (who imo is just as fast as pac) and Shane Mosleys speed?

Cotto is a very very good fighter and the reason is he finds ways to adapt to beat the person in front of him... as he will with Pac.

Cotto should not be fighting in the welterweight division because he comes in at middleweight during fight time. He should come in at least at superwelterweight. But I doubt that he will do that because his power at welter is already dubious.

I dont expect either of these fighters to be ko'd quickly. Although im a huge cotto fan pacquiao is very, very dangerous with his handspeed and punching power turns into his punches beautifully again kind of reminds me of roberto duran i think i would be more surprised if cotto pulled off a early ko than i would be if pacman pulled it off. But again i think unlikely both fighters will be on their "a" game and this should be a war with a late stoppage by the ref to save pacquiao.
