i know i have said cotto has no business at 160, if he had a chin i would give him a shot at beating ggg. he has shown decent pop at 160 and he has the skills and movement to give trip g trouble. problem is he cuts easy and has a very questionable chin.

as it stands cotto should run far away from ggg and just give up his belt, we all know a fight w ggg would be a massacre of epic proportions.

so basically to beat GGG you need

    ATG chin
great power to keep him off you
great physical strength to push him on to the back foot
great speed and great skills and technical abilty:lol:

it is basically the kind of fighter that can only be made in a lab:lol:

i definitely wonder what a good chin and the ability to force ggg to fight going backwards would do....margarito??

Even if he had the greatest MW chin of all time I don't think it would be enough he would need to significantly improve in other areas as well.

cotto is highly skilled w a very high ring iq, i do not think ggg has yet faced a fighter of his caliber, unfortunately i don't think there is a fighter of that caliber at 160.

If Miguel Cotto can find a way to nullify Golovkin's power he would be able to beat him. Cotto is far more skilled than anybody GGG has ever faced but I think the biggest issue is that Cotto in all reality is a blown up Welterweight at best. The guy is about 5ft 7in, he probably walks around at 170lbs, and physically he's not a REAL Middleweight.

I would favor Golovkin versus any of these blown up Welterweights like Cotto, Mayweather, and Pacquiao because they're not REAL Middleweights…thats why we have weight classes.

I agree with you 100% percent; If Miguel Cotto had a solid chin or if he was just a REAL Middleweight for that matter I think he would be able to beat GGG.
