    agreed?

the reason why cotto's such a good boxer is because of his weaknesses, if he had an iron chin he would have become a brawler.

And that is funny why? He is one of the most negative fighters out there, because he doesnt want to engage in battle due to his previous losses, all down to his suspect chin, which of course he can do nothing about, apart from like you say, use his ramrod jab to keep opponents at bay. Do you not think that with his size skill he couldnt go and blow most of the current HW crop out in under 5 rnds if he wasnt so damn scared of his biggest weakness?

    i can agree with relentless.

think about it. if you are a fighter with an absolutel iron chin, you probalby wouldnt concern yourself with skill b/c you would know that you cant be hurt.

however, if you know your chin isnt the greatest then you have to become a great boxer.

now, if you have both, then you are unstoppable.

I think cottos chin is not that bad as some make it seem... In the Margarito fight I think it was more of Cotto being tired out. Even with the knockdowns, cotto was still very aware of his surroundings and wasnt stun or anything like that.

or it could be that he's not a big puncher, smart ass...

if you watched cottos early fights you would see he would try and blast guys out, that was till he found out punches hurt.

I give you credit for acknowledging that it was because of his shaky chin that Cotto lost. Not every Cotto fan is willing to admit that their fighter has questionable punch resistance.
