If Cotto knocks Clottey out how big will it be compared to Pacquao's KO of Hatton

If Cotto KO's Clottey it would be a better accomplishment because Clottey is a skilled boxer.

Pac-Mans KO of Hatton isn't that great an accomplishment because Hatton IS NOT a skilled boxer -- he is a Club\Street fighter.

I love when people say Cotto has hit the deck a

He's only been down once, weight drained and you can argue the "knock down" was a push...Cotto shouldnt even go for the knockout, he should just box stationary Clottey all 12 rounds and cruise his way to a UD. If he tries to go head-hunting like he did against Margarito, theres a good chance Cotto will lose.

Really? If I remember correctly Cotto took a couple of knees in that last round against Margarito. Taking a knee is the same thing as a knockdown IMO (and on a judges scorecard). Basically it's a decision to save yourself from further punishment (for 9 seconds at least) and collect your senses before you get KTFO.

Cotto isnt related to Money May. Cotto acually has a fighters mentality and he acually wants to please his fans and give them a good showing rather then just barley doing enough to win. (mayweather-Oscar fight)

You're entitled to your opinion...He went down cuz he was too tired IMO and didnt "hit the deck" from a punch like you stated.

He went down because he was getting his ass kicked, and was going to get ko'd if he didnt take the knee. At any rate it was a mute point, because he ended up getting tko'd anyways. I didn't hear anyone say that Zab Judah only went down 1 time when he fought Cotto, it was always that he suffered 2 knockdowns (when in fact the 1st knockdown was him taking a knee). Your argument is simply based on semantics, we all know Cotto has been down 3 times (1 time against Torres and 2 knees against Margarito). To argue otherwise is simply being facetious, and showing ignorance of boxing rules.:hi:

Seriously, if someone read your recollection of this fight and did'nt see the fight, they would probably never know how bad of a as*s whoopin cotto receieved , to the point he was forced to quit.

He was looking for his corner to throw in the towel long before they actually did. I was shocked the fight was not being stopped, because Cotto was looking for someone to save him.

And this is coming from someone who loves cotto and the way he fights.

Yeah that was a career changing ass-whipping and it was hard to watch. I honestly thought Cotto would pull it out.

And to be honest Cotto better be right for Clottey -- because he is one tough ass guy that can box his ass off.

It will be impressive but nothing close to Pacquiao/Hatton. Clottey isn't even a candidate to #1 spot in the division, Hatton was #1 at 140 since 2005 and Pacquiao made short work out of him in two rounds in his first fight at the weight.

Even if Cotto knocks him out in the first round it won't be as impressive as what Pacquiao did.

Pacquiao's situation is totally different. Hatton MIGHT not seem like a hot name to bring up now because people are completely overlooking what he accomplished based on a recent loss(usually it takes some time and things cool down) but you have to look at facts.

That was Pacquiao's first fight at that weight and against the #1 fighter in that division since 2005 and Pac took care of him in two one-sided brutal rounds. Clottey's biggest win is Zab Judah after an accidental headbutt and a blown up past prime Corrales(RIP).

For me it would be HUGE! But for the general boxing public......nothing. Cotto is the fav in this fight and Clottley isn't "seen" as a major force by most. For those "in the know".....we know differntly. It would be a HUGE win and a big win if Cotto is able to KO Josh. But it won't happen. Clottley is too big and has a style that is all wrong for Cotto. He'll have a rough night and IMO..Miguel looses clearly by UD or Late TKO.
