If Cotto KO's Margo... Would you put him on top of PBF at WW?

I can see it. Being the Top P4P is about showing that you're the BEST FIGHTER TODAY. Not resting and living on past glory. Beating Chico or Hernandez @ 130 doesn't mean **** when you're fighting @ 147.

 

I will. The linear champ and P4P BS are not valid here. Floyd has four fights as a WW. PERIOD. Judah, Baldomir, Hatton and Mitchell. Cotto already KO Judah. Baldomir is a joke,Hatton is not a WW and Mitchell was going downhill. If you want to keep him #1 P4P I might understand that. But we are talking welterweight here. You can't count what Floyd has done in other weight classes to rank him #1 WW. He needs to fight against the others top WW. I am not saying he can't win. I am saying he is not even trying

A convincing Cotto win against Marg would have me rate Cotto over Floyd AT WELTER. Not p4p.

2 years without even fighting a mandatory or a top ten guy is ridiculous - Thats how long it will be by the time fights De La Hoya again. Ridiculous.

It's truly a shame that the major boxing publications are the only people who are clinging to this P4P nonsense still. When infact their number 1 P4P entry is a testament to what is wrong with the notion of P4P in the first place. Leapfrogging over challengers to cherry pick a title, then cherry picking a defense against a 140lber who also happens to be P4P (circular reasoning), all while avoiding any future meetings with the young, prime, hungry contenders at 147lbs.

July 26th is the kind of fight that makes legends.

Where the hell is Cotto punching? No way in hell he would miss Margarito that bad. Otherwise, I think it looks good.
