Canelo/Mosley winner perhaps. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted a significant step down in competition, so somebody like a Mundine, maybe?
:think Mundine is still relevant and he certainly knows how to sell a fight although I'm not sure Cotto would be willing to risk it(and yes it would be a bit of a risk) in front of a tiny PPV audience. I still see Cotto fighting Berto(if he beats Ortiz) then whoever wins the WBC "tourney", with an eye on Chavez Jr. for possibly his final fight.
I have a strange feeling cotto is going to leave everything he has left in the ring on Saturday and if Floyd comes in to prove a point he will accomplish it but not without leaving us religious boxing folk with a fight for the ages
Now that I think about it, you're right. He's gonna take a long vacation after the Money fight, then get it on with the WBC tourney winner(probably Alvarez) in Dec 2012...then hopefully retire.
If in fact cotto loses this fight in a complete wash I do believe he will make the choice to go after one of the young loins in the division and retire while still considered a top flight fighter.
