and Margarito beats cotto the same way/if not worse than their first fight, will you still think his gloves were loaded in their first fight? Will your opinion on Margarito change at that point? Assuming his gloves were checked before the fight and nothing looked out of the ordinary

Whether he beats Cotto or not, that incident will follow Margarito forever, his reputation has been tainted.

First things first. Margarito, a fighter thought to be indestructible, got decimated in his last fight. OBLITERATED. How do we know this guy isn't shot if not on his merry way to getting seriously injured in the ring from all the punches he's taken over the years? How does Margarito even look at this point??? That's my question. It's an overwhelming factor in any rematch discussion.

I'm a big cotto fan. I dont think cotto can beat margorito. His style is perfect for cotto especially with all those uppercuts he throws. If I were Cotto I would stay away from him. But we all know how cotto is he fights anyone. unlike some boxers we all know

It wouldn't entirely fix his image in my mind, but it would go a long way to restoring it.

I have to say this again: I know it was only for the first 6 rounds, but that was a pure masterclass Cotto put on in the first half of that fight. It was incredible. Cotto lost, but the skills he showed were immense........Then seeing Andre Ward doing something similar to Edison Miranda, but Ward did it for the whole bloody fight. They just showed a incredible amount of skill, and ring savvy.

Margarito whips his ass 10 out of 10. Period.

And I, for one, don't think he used plaster in the first fight. He used chin, stamina, prssure, and a phenomenal workrate. He was hitting Cotto with relative ease from the 6th round and beyond.

    Rematch, same ****.

They need to even it out to make the series fair. Let Cotto wear a helmet and make Margo wear 12 oz gloves. :p

I don't think Margo will ever be the same after what Mosely did to him.

    Cotto would win.

in their fight Margo wins wraps or no wraps though.

I don't think Margo is planning on jumping right into a rematch his first fight back. He should come back and face a respectable boxer like Collazo or Quintana to see if he still has it before doing the Cotto or Mosley rematch.
