If Cotto proves victorious would this be his greatest victory in his career thus far?

Well considering that most boxing analysts and experts are picking Pacquiao to win, some by dominating fashion, and the fact that Pac is the #1 P4P, I'd say it would be his biggest win. Only a win over Mayweather would be bigger.

i think his win over Mosley might be better, but since Pacquiao is p4p #1 right I guess it will be rated higher.

Was thinking about this. Pacquiao is widely considered to be the current P4P No.1, so if Cotto defeats him, the is he to be considered the best?

I'm a big Mayweather fan & I suspect a few of Floyd's fans will proclaim their man to be the best around if Cotto defeats Manny!

Chances of Cotto-Mayweather happening if Cotto defeats Pacquiao?

If Cotto wins by decision, yes but not much.

If Cotto wins by KO, absolutely... Asia continent threw in already their champs and left on the floor, Mexico threw everything against Pac already and theyre already out of ammo, British threw in their best champion and was KOed in a lesser time than the introduction.

:deal Agree completely. Pacquiao is considered by most on here to be a weight jumping p4p wrecking machine with skill. If cotto beats pacquiao he gets very close to the p4p 1 spot behind marquez and mayweather.

I think Cotto has a legit chance. People say he's damaged goods, but they base this on the Cotto we saw fight Clottey with a terrible cut. If that cut hadn't happened, I think Cotto would've UD'd him or possibly stopped him late. I mean he put him down in the first with that straight right.

That said, If he beats Pacquiao there is no doubt it is A) the best win of his career B) catapults him up to atleast #2 on the pound 4 pound list depending on the JMM vs PBF fight
