Whats the chances of a Cotto v Mayweather fight @147 in May if Cotto beats Margarito convincingly ? Although there is still Mr Arum to overcome

    Exactly mate.

That 'in-house' stuff is ****ing ridiculous after a while.

Same old matches recycled, and for what?

Make Cotto/Bradley, even a fight like that would appeal to me more thanCotto/Pac.

    Or Cotto/Berto or Cotto/Ortiz.

it might be ridiculous but that is what uncle bob will feed us.

there is no way that he puts cotto in with ortiz or alvarez as they are gb fighters.

Both interesting fights... but could Cotto still make 147? Or would they both have to move up.

think cotto could make 147 just doesnt want to.
hes a bit out of the loop now really - in a division without a massive star

Cotto has stated he can still make 147. I still think thats a big fight.

Cotto, Alvarez, Khan. Thats the order of non Pacquiao fights I would like to see.

I don’t think Cotto would go down unless it was for Pacquaio or Mayweather. For Mayweather it would make sense for him to go up and claim another belt at 154, but I can’t see him doing it. Cotto’s on the downside of his career and even Floyd would realise he’ll get no credit for it now.

Shame he didn’t make the fight after Cotto beat Mosley. Then it would have meant something.

Anyway, Cotto beats Ortiz and Berto, even now. He’s too methodical and composed for either to really get to him. Berto’s lazy and Ortiz is just mental. He’d do well early on but Cotto’s body attack would have him on his knees for the third time in a big fight.

FFS, when your best win is over Berto you have nothing much going for you.

He tried to make the fight while they were at 140lbs and Arum said no.

Cotto will fight the winner of Rodriguez-Wolak or Vanes Martirosyan.
