How good could Cotto have been if he had Roach earlier as his trainer? Let say before the Margarito fight.
He would have fought his biggest threats at catch weights but he'd still have been defeated by Margarito.
Do you honestly believe that? Or maybe, just maybe Cotto fought at a catchweight for a MW fight because he weighed under the JMW limit and is not a natural MW?
If you mean the first Margarito fight, he could still lose it as Margo had his gloves stuffed. He was always a good boxer anyway, Geale would hardly be in his top 10 wins.
Roach has always been somewhat meticulous over handwrapping, so MargaritHOE wouldn't have gotten away with his plaster of paris, and Cotto wouldn't have taken the beating.
