Too small for 154, can make 147 if he tries!

There’s no way Cotto could make 147 at this stage. He’d be completely weight drained and much less effective then he was last night at 153.5. He hasn’t fought at welter since 2009 when he got KO’d by Pac-man while being weight drained.

Cotto is definitely a full fledged Jr Middleweight. He’s too big for Welter, and he’s too small for Middleweight.

I can't see it either. It's probably time to exercise the Bradley option at 154 unless Canelo does.

154 is a better weight for Miguel at this point in his career.

He's not making 147 at this point. People tend to forget how drained he was at 140.. and that was years ago. He's a 154 guy now.. not an extremely powerful one.

Cotto should retire.. take this last check and enjoy retirement.

The tale of the tape listed Cotto at 5'8, but I think it's a lie. He was listed as 5'7 vs Pac. They're trying to make him look bigger than he is. He looked visibly smaller than Canelo, which belies the 1.5lb weigh-in difference. There must have been nearly 20lbs difference after rehydration. Cotto is in between weight classes. He's gonna have to come down or always fight at cw's which is lame.

guy is ****ing 5'6.. 5'7.. 147 should be easy enough to make. He's not a huge guy at all.

Yep. He's been blowing up to fight outside of 147. He can't even make 154 lol.

What do people reckon Cotto weighs in ring? If Alvarez was 173ish last night then Cotto was what? 160-162ish?

I know it's been said that Cotto can't make WW now, but as far as I can tell he's still roughly the size of a WW. Low 160s is a pretty common fight-night weight for a top WW and Cotto's frame doesn't suggest he's too big for WW.

Floyd was a similiar fight night weight to a lot of LWWs and even some LWs.

Doesn't mean he could actually make those weights
