If Cotto still had the "0" next to his name would he have been favored to win...

If Cotto beat Marg, I can't begin to imagine how Cotto's career could have turned out.

..this fight won't probably even happen in the first place. IMO, he would have been p4p#1/#2 (given that pbf is still retired) because of the list of who's who in his resume + perfect record.

Cotto is still unbeaten, the Marg loss should be a NC

I know you feel this way because of Marg being caught with the illegal wraps pre Mosley fight. But nobody knows IF he did during the Cotto fight too.

I was wondering about this exact idea yesterday, and the answer is:

Yes, he probably would be the favourite. Although I don't think Arum would have put Pacquiao in with an undefeated Cotto.

The wraps Marg was intending for Mosley had already been used on Cotto. That's pretty much a given.

Cotto's style beats Margarito's without the wraps: see the first 9 rounds of their fight.

Had Marg's hands been properly inspected before the Cotto fight, boxing would be completely different and Cotto would be a huge star. DLH said he wanted the winner of this fight and a fight with Cotto was definitely coming. Cotto definitely takes out the same WW DLH that fought Pac.

Had all this played out, does anyone REALLY think Pac would have been favored in this fight?
