But anyway, how can you accuse Cotto of ducking when the only thing he ever says about a potential fight is that he'll fight whoever his promoter puts in front of him? Mayweather is the one who admitted to Margarito's face he was looking to make "smart business decisions" and pondering retirment after Merchant mentioned a Cotto fight.

Mayweather said he would like a break from boxing. Before the Hatton fight he was going to "retire" but we all saw that.

Cotto needs to say he wants the fight with Floyd instead of hiding behind his promoter. If he takes the fight with DLH. He's ducked Floyd twice.

How is it possible to duck a fighter who's taking a break from Boxing?

No one is ducking anyone. Floyd & Cotto, as do I, think Cotto will beat DLH for about the same $ if Floyd & Cotto fight now. Then Cotto and Floyd will fight. That will make the Floyd vs. Cotto fight that much bigger $$$$$$$$$$. If for some reason DLH beats Cotto, then Cotto does not deserve Floyd anyhow. It's not about ducking, just good business decisions.
