I agree that Cotto will become God status just to build up Triple Gs resume but a great fight nonetheless. Cotto will be chancing it far better than Floyd and Manny and it's good money entertainment.

Nope, I like Golovkin, I rate him but if the Canelo fight does not happen then Golovkin has to and I mean has to give Jacobs a rematch.

There are no excuses, even if Jacobs says no to a rematch or it can't happen at the end of the year for whatever reason then I want to see a far better test/fight than Cotto.

 

Also I have to ask.. Do you mean like the Canelo fans did when he vacated his WBC middleweight title to avoid Golovkin and fought Liam Smith?

All of a sudden Liam Smith was a genuine test and it was a "smart business move".

The only fans I see making excuses and nut hugging are Canelo fans, from the moment he said he wasn't a middleweight to now where two fights later he is fighting a catchweight of 164.5

The excuses and reasons for Canelo not fighting Golovkin never end.

 

Agree. I dont want to see GGG/Cotto under any circumstance. Cotto was too small for Canelo and GGG while not as big as canelo in weight is a bit taller and hits a whole lot harder. I have no interest in seeing this fight. Make the canelo fight, give jacobs a rematch or fight BJ Saunders. Or make the fight with Jermall whos had a lot of tough talk recently and would make a good fight.

 

I agree, your suggestions are far better fights for Golovkin, Cotto shouldn't even be an option.

I don't see a point to it. Golovkin will get a payday, good for him I suppose, but I certainly won't defend it. It would have to be a Spinks/Tyson demolition for Golovkin to walk away with any type of pride.

 

I agree, there's no point to it. Cotto should finish his career at 154 and stay away from the middleweights entirely. He's too damn small.
