Is this a serious discussion? GGG would blow out Cotto. I like Cotto a lot but he is way past his prime and is a smaller fighter. This would end early.
This thread is utterly spasticated. Just a shameless bit of trolling from the biggest troll on the board. Ps I actually agree GGG - Cotto would be a one sided beat down and I have no interest in seeing it. But it's not going to happen, Cotto made clear that he doesn't want that work when he was walking round pretending to be a genuine middleweight champ.
I really hope so. Cotto has no one to fight for sure and neither does Golovkin. They could make this one for the summer if he is not waiting on Canelo.
It would be a one sided beating unless Golovkin decided to take it easy on Cotto which would still be very damaging for Cotto. The fight would generate a lot of money I think because both of them are big names, but it wouldn't be a good competitive fight. Cotto is a blown up welterweight if we're being completely honest and although Golovkin isn't the biggest middleweight in the world, he is a still a solid middleweight and punches above his weightclass.
Cotto is great and matches GGG skillwise in every level except power maybe.. But this is a bad fight for him, plus way too late in his carreer to take this fight. GGG is to big too strong for him.. Just like Canelo was even though it was close you could see the massive difference in size... Either way mad respect for both these warriors.
Can't see the fight happening, it's probably posturing from cotto to make sure he gets a big pay day for canelo fight in the winter.
I agree with all of this. No need for Cotto to take that beating. He'd win some early rounds but would slowly take an awful beating. He deserves better than that as does Golovkin and top rated middleweights Jacobs and Saunders.
