I'm not. By any means condoning Bob Arum, but my question is simple. Does he fight Trout is he has a promotor? Sometimes a promotor can be the determining factor in making or breaking a great fight. We also know, to a certain extent, a promotor can protect his fighter to the extent of not giving the fans the fights we want to see. However, I think if Cotto was still under Top Rank he does not fight Trout. Thoughts?

Cotto probably doesn't fight Trout if he's with Arum. The risk/reward ratio was all wrong.

However, he wouldn't have been looking at a mega payday against Canelo, either.

Nor would he have fought Mayweather. He may have done Margarito II and the Pacquiao II.
