Do you think he would be able to recover from it mentally or end up losing to any elite level fighters from now on? (williams, mayweather..)
No idea. Overcoming adversity is not really matter of views but one of personal experience. Some people become stronger in adversity, others fall apart.
It's a good question. Ever since Miguel got really hot after beating Judah and Mosley he's acted more motivated and interested in boxing. But before that he was known for talking about his total disinterest in anything that had to do with the sport aside from his own immediate participation. I wouldn't be surprised to see him even quit or take a very long extended break if things went extremely badly tomorrow night against Margarito. If Miguel did fight on, he would go back to being the more pedestrian level talent he was prior to Judah, which was also quite good, but not quite electric.
my guess is that if he gets knocked out it would be after taking a career ending beating....thats the drama of this fight!
I agree.. but Margaritos offense is very predictable and hesnot as fast as Mosley or Judah... but he has a size advantage he better fight a very determined fight and havesome kind of strategy beginning at round 1 he cant start slow..
hed still be one of this generations best fighters but it dont matter cause i got a feeling cotto will win with precise body punching and movement cotto ko 10
If he can ko Margarito ill be surprised and veryimpresssed... but not too surprised if its by a body shot..
Someone other than Marg would have to be the one to potentially KO him, lets wait until then before discussing this.
oh yeah if he wins hes pretty much done what is needed to be considered the best of his era at his weight. floyd didnt accomplish a lot at 147 compared to cotto.
