If cotto wins by late round tko/decision......

We'll be lucky if we get to see this one at MSG...IMO this will be it regardless of the outcome...which will be a Cotto W.

cotto is just looking to clear his loss, he is convinced marg cheated and if he wins it WILL throw a cloud of doubt on his loss. he wont want 3 payday for cheato ...

 

There wont be a trilogy, both men are closing their careers. They both took two brutal beat downs ( cotto - Margarito, Pacquiao/ Margarito - Mosley, Pacquiao) This fight will be the beginning of the end for them, Margaritos eye is going to retire him in this fight unless he becomes a gate keeper in mexico and Cotto will be fed to Alvarez if he shows he has nothing left.

 

I think we'll be getting Margarito/Mayorga, more likely. Maybe that's wishful thinking, though. :?

Who do you like in that one Boxed? I'd pick Mayorga at this point.

 

Because I think Cotto will have avenged his loss, and with the bitter feelings over the wrap scandal, I don't think he would want to give Margarito another opportunity. If he wins, and everyone KNOWS Margarito was clean, Cotto will always have that in his back pocket. Just my opinion.

 

I think Margarito will retire, he has taken alot of damage in the ring and must have a fair amount of skrilla in the bank

 

Nah i think Margs done after this fight win or lose, he isn't well liked after the handwraps and with the dodgy eye on top I think it will be used to stop him getting a license in America.

He might fight down in Mexico or elsewhere but I can't see Cotto going anywhere else at this stage of his career if he wins. He'll be happy with retribution and will look for 2-3 more decent paydays in USA before he calls it a day.

 

It's gonna get harder & harder for Margarito to get licensed to fight, so I think this will be his last big hurrah, at least in the US.

I'd like to see Margs fight against Kirkland. They could do that one in Mexico too.

 

Only if Margarito is allowed to use a white cane, cause he'll be blind in both eyes by the 3rd.
