I give Cotto little to no chance of winning, not that PAC is unbeatable, but if he wins is he the new king in your opinion

No, but an argument can be made if he were to redeem himself against Margarito !!

A TKO stoppage of Marquez will solidify Mayweather as the #1 fighter again ... and a win will only bring Cotto to the top 5.

I think Cotto would be p4p king if he were to win against Margarito ... there would've been no question; with Calzaghe's retirement, the inactivity of Hopkins, and the fact that he would still be undefeated, with wins over Margarito and Mosley would solidify that. He was in line to fight Oscar if he had won and i'm sure that anyone with a pulse could've beaten him.

If he beats Pac, then he should fight Mosley for the welterweight championship ... and then fight Floyd for the #1 p4p championship _ because no matter what anyone says, Floyd has never lost his crown and with him being active again would only bring back his status.

Do you guys even understand what P4P means:patsch

Cotto has fought in only two divisions and has not looked unbeatable in either.

He got whooped by an over rated Margarito and one a close decision against Clottey and won a decision against Mosley.

By beating Pac he will move up the P4P list but no where near the top 3

No! Right now he's like 6th or 7th. He won't jump that far by beating Pac.

I think even those who consider it would have to at least factor in whatever happens with Marquez-Mayweather into that decision.

If Cotto beats Manny and Floyd beats Marquez you have the case of either the current #3 moving up to #1, which would be B-Hop, or declaring the former #1 the current #1, Floyd.

Pac is still top 5 ... hell Hopkins is inactive ... Marquez will lose against Mayweather ... and Cotto still has the loss to Margarito will still linger ... and Sugar Shane is still around ... he would have to beat another top guy for the argument to be valid.

Mayweather has fought in 5 divisions winning 6 world titles constantly moving up while staying undefeated.

That what makes you p4p material. This is why Pac is currently number 1.

What has Cotto done to deserve the number 1 spot? Beating PAC dont cut it.:deal

Nor does losing in devasting fashion to a guy in ur own weight class

you dont have to look un beatable to be P4P Remember Manny has recent close fights with Marquez and recently lost to Morales as well

He did lose to Margarito but with the new findings that is questionable though I think Margarito won fair and square we will never really know

and even though those decisions with Mosley and Clottey were close they were still wins remind you Floyd has close wins over Castillo and DLH
