If Cotto wins should he fight Floyd or Margarito?

    Margarito has to prove he still has something left in him. He needs to earn his shot at the Cotto's and PBF's of the world by fighting a couple of non-star contenders.

    Cotto should try to get a fight with PBF but if he beats Pac, I'd bet a Mosley-PBF fight is way more likely.

    Absolutely, Margarito's style eats up anything Cotto can do. (Styles)

    TBH if Cotto labours to a win over the Pacman, i'd still much rather see Pac May

    If Cotto destroys the pac, then yeah, bring on Cotto May

    Still that would be a shame in a way. I'd love to see how May deals with such a relentless power punching speedster like The Pac, one who wouldnt gas like The Superzab. I feel Pac would be a far harder fight for May than Cotto would

    If the fight with Cotto and Pac is close and Cotto wins.....rematch. PBF has to then fight Mosley or any good WW.

    Ok, I see. You think it's a bad style matchup. Personally I disagree. I think Margarito's style is the right style to bring the best out of miguel, but the way Miguel was beating him easy in the early going makes one assume that marg needed extra help with the plaster because it was very unusual how Cotto started to break down in the fight when he was giving him a boxing lesson.

    I agree... Margarito matches up with Miguel (for marg) but this whole idea that margarito beats cotto every time out, or even the majority imo, is wrong.

    Let me put it this way... theres almost nothing Margarito can do in a rematch that he didnt already do (except maybe not use plaster)... thats as good as he can get.

    Cotto can switch it up, its not like he was dominated, he was leading and then faded down the stretch because of both margarito, and his own stamina failing him.

    A differant game plan, more focus on boxing, more focus on stamina, ect, ect.... he wins a few more rounds, he lasts the distance, and he wins the decision. Pretty simple and perfectly possibly....

    id love to see a rematch, but am also very nervous because as you said and i do agree... margarito is cottos nightmare. But i also think if he switches a few things up, people will be suprised how easily he handles margarito.

    I think after Shane destroyed him, the blueprint is pretty simple and I see Cotto clinching him at times not as much as Shane did though. And I don't agree that Marg is Cotto's nightmare. If Cotto didn't breakdown like he did in that fight, he wins that fight easy and might have even weakened Marg in the later rounds.

    Floyd. Cuz he won't get another shot, floyd is liable to RE- retire at any time,, he likes to do that.

    Floyd's a bigger payday, bigger fight, better legacy wise and like you said, Margo will always be there for the rematch, we can't say the same about Floyd.
