Khan? Brook? Gamboa? As you say,,all 3 had big or bigger followings so had “sexier” names but were clearly retirement fights. I think your point applies to Crawford pretty well about having “sexy” names
He's a biased Crawford fan boy he defends him in every thread like his life depended on it. Now don't get me wrong I like Crawford but...... Khan seriously lol who had one foot out the door he'd had 2 fights in 3 years and would shortly retire after. Gamboa who didn't belong at Lightweight and it was a mismatch in size. Brook who suffered a terrible eye injury vs Golovkin that never fully recovered and already lost to Spence he was done as a top level fighter.
Madrimov is completely diffrent than Canelo. He was using feints non stop which kept Crawford resetting constantly. Which messed with his timing. I think Crawford can win if he fights a near perfect fight. Needs to employ Bivol, Mayweather and Khan type strategies. I give him a 10%-15% chance.
I dont think so, canelo is physically way stronger, crawford can't hurt canelo, but canelo can ko him and imo outbox him. Canelo works with a lot of faints and is one of the best counter punchers of the last 20 years. This is a monumental challenge for crawford. All luck to him
Different in terms of how they set up their offense. Canelo is a good counter puncher, but the way he sets up his offense his last few fights, he doesn't work behind the jab, little to no head movement and loads up too much. I think TC can keep out of range and use movement to pick when he engages, but if Canelo lands, he will be hurt. Canelo's countering and timing can be the difference. I wouldn't bet my house on a Crawford win, that's for sure.
"GOAT" would be gross exaggeration but he'd be right up there with Usyk, Mayweather and Pacquaio as one of the greatest of the millenium.
Because hes dominated all his opposition (minus Madrimov) and to beat Canelo at Super Middleweight would be unprecedented. 2 years ago this idea wouldve been laughed at
He was getting clipped in the early rounds and then he adjusted. Definitely his most difficult fight at 140 and not a signature performance.
Its like saying Crawford had difficulty with Gamboa. Crawford dropped Gamboa 4x and stopped him. Knocked him out.
But Gamboa won more rounds in 9 rounds vs Crawford than Corley did in 12 rounds vs Mayweather. Gamboa was also not a legit Lightweight and the size difference between the two was ridiculous.
Joey why are you talking absolute rubbish ? Mayweather only had 6 fights at Jr Welterweight and probably lost a grand total of 2 rounds in 6 fights. Saying Mayweather's peformance vs Corley was not an impressive performance when he fought in a very exciting manner convincingly beating his opponent by lopsided decision is absolute tripe and you know it.
