He's decent but rated too high imo
Crawford and Loma are better than Jacobs.

No one was going to get the decision against Clenelo in Vegas no matter what happened

Gatti was the epitome of a HOF fighter. He'd fight anyone anywhere & give 110% what he lacked in boxing skills was made up by cast iron balls

Yes, he accounted well for himself in two big fights already and that would put him in.

No. too many belts per division. he'd be a two division belt holder, and not the recognized world champ in either.

Agreed. That's a pretty low standard.

No. No signature wins against elite competition.

If Jacobs went in surely hed be the worst inductee in its history? No

I like Jacob, he seems a sou d guy and is a talented fighter but his top level wins arent great, he doesnt have a large number of b level wins either and he hsnt got a lot of accomplishments within the sport that take him into this territory.

Your only real argument is hes possibly better than Gatti or McGuigan but both are in for a wider scope that just their boxing ability and achievements even if I dont personally agree with it.

Not sure he has enough years at the top to do it but there probably is the fights to do so if he goes on a good run. Fighting the Rosados of the world aint gonna help though.

Not really, he beat Leonard in the second fight on most peoples cards but even if we doscount that he has the only legot KO over Roberto Duran until he was about 45 years old and then he had Cuevas on the absolute run of his career, sparking him cold. He also has a win over a fellow ATG in a prime Wilfredo Benitez.

He beat Muangsurin a year after he lost the title, sure hed lost a couple before Hearns that depleted the win but a very big fight for Hearns at the time against a top level boxer when he was still barely a prospect.

Then he has a huge list of wins and achievements that dwarf Jacobs.

Wins over Bruce Curry, Denis Andries, Juan Domingo Roldan, Virgil Hill, Michael Olijade, James Kinchen, Doug DeWitt - the list goes on but his b level wins are better than Jacobs whole resume so again not a very good comparison.

He lost which were by FAR the two biggest fights of his career. Fought Leonard and Hagler in their prime while he was also in his. And he was totally demolished.

Hearns lost his biggest fights. Period.
