If David Haye Loses.... It Will Be One Of The Most Sad Events In Current Day Boxing

muhammad ali and tyson talked a pretty big game and i dont think either of them had many doubts about how good they were. also boxing kind of needs a pick me up. your talking about a guy who jabs for about twelve rounds and makes incredibly boring fights along with no personality outside. When ali fought Liston as the underdog he was pretty damn outspoken.

Emmanuel is ruining too many exciting fighters. Wlad was much more dominating and exciting to watch before Steward.

 

Steward is like the Jose Mourinho of boxing he just wants to win and entertaining the fans is something he is not bothered about.

 

haye is an entertainer, klit a boxer.

 

It is on "if" Haye loses the fight, it's when he loses the fight. Vlad by very vicious knockout.

 

Sports don't need one or two "superstars", they need competition to be succesful. Basketball, baseball, hockey ( I assume you mean ice hockey, field hockey is also huge in a few countries like India), Football (soccer for the US), American Football etc are all team sports. They aren't watched and are attractive because they have one or two superstars, they are attractive because they have fierce competition between a couple of more or less evenly matched teams; it is close and exciting battles for a major or even single championship that makes them attractive (Champions League, Major League, NBA, Stanley Cup, F1, Tour de France etc etc)!

Same goes for individual sports; I want to see great skills displayed and attractive matches in the ring between a champion and the challengers. How pathetic is it that everyone is shouting for a badass, badmouthing, trashtalking heavyweight just to get boxing in the headlines again????

Boxing should be talked about because of brilliant matches just taken place or coming up. The boxing's organisations are more too blame for losing the public attention then a well spoken, educated and highly skilled champion. The general public can't possibly keep track off all developments with 25+ sanctioning bodies, 49587345 sorts of champions and corrupt promoters.

 

I pretty much agree. Thomson hit Wlad with a couple of half decent shots, in particular one body shot I remember early which made Wlad very, very cautious, but then after about the 3rd round, he did nothing. NOTHING.

Just standing with your feet planted, gloves on your ears throwing about 4 punches a round doesn't make you a tecnically sound fighter. (not having a go at you- more those saying what a good fight Thomson put up).

I find it funny that those that love to quote guys like Toney etc talking ****, saying how funny they are, and good for boxing, are the same guys that bang on about Hayes lack of class.

There's no doubt Haye has talked his way into this fight. Thing is, Toney couldn't, because you know he's got nothing to trouble Wlad with. Haye has, that's what makes it interesting.

 

Thats ironic, because I will be celebrating like a mother****er when he gets Knocked OUT.
