If he gets caught and stopped again is it the end? How will they rebuild him? I'm sure he won't retire but it would be very hard to comeback. Also Maloney would be finished pritty much. He could fight bums I suppose and have another crack but having a weak chin at heavyweight especially is a huge weakness.
If he loses it would be a disaster !!! Not sure he will recover mentally if he gets knocked out again.
Yeah it would be tough But a chisora fight still could go ahead and mean something Boxing really shouldn't cast fighters to the doldrums after 2 losses at a decent level
Chisora if Price loses by KO would be a fight too far. He has an awkward style (little technique mind) which wouldn't ensure an easy night for Price. McDermott would be doable as Maloney manages both fighters and Big John is still a name at domestic level.
John is waiting for a shot at price? even if he gets knocked out again hes levels above mcdonought 2bh
Cliché I know, but if Price does lose, then he needs to reflect. If he wants to continue, there is going to be a need to step down a level and regain some confidence. Age is not on his side, but a more patient approach would probably be the best way forward in such a scenario. That all said, I hope he does not lose.
we all know in boxing careers can be engineered, hello Mr Bruno! So who knows. Is amazing how most people have an Achilles heel..........if Price had a chin that could withstand a kick from a mule as well as his size etc....private jets and yachts in the south of France may be on the horizon..........unfortunately in might just be a new van for the plumbing!,,,,
I am no fan; but Bruno's career was not 'engineered' like today's 'stars'. Bruno was 'engineered' into fighting a 'Journeyman', who would go onto to become a title holder (Bonecrusher). He then got a title shot against probably the best fighter of the time (Witherspoon). He had to meet Tyson coming off arguably his best performance, and then met Lennox Lewis, who turned out to be the real deal. The Bomber's best wins came against some decent opposition with hindsight. Coetzee was less than two years off his title run. Bugner had beaten some solid opposition in Australia and quite a few thought he was going to beat Frank. Coetzer was a fringe contender, The Truth still had a bit of a spark in him, and McCall had beaten Lewis less than a year previous. Not bad for an 'engineered' career...
Even if he does lose tonight then I can't see big John Mcdermott wanting a piece of him again, or that fight providing anything of worth for us fans other than another Price KO. Probably down to Euro level after a different domestic tune up, and staying around Euro level for a long time.
